島嶼 DNA (1) Jay Chou has a Caucasian ancestor?

By author 陳耀昌's consent, I made my first attempt of translating one of Formosa DNA articles based on the book 島嶼DNA (2015). 

Chen hopes to raise awareness - to English reading audiences - of Taiwan's rare mixed ethnicity and provides a long overdue justification of our long overlooked Island History.

Yao-Chang Chen, MD is Taiwan's leading cellular expert and hematologist. Also author of several best-seller historical novels. One of them 傀儡花. Which is now adapted into and under production of a TV drama "Lady the Butterfly". The book is translated and published in Japanese and successfully launched in October 2019.
